How it works
When you open a tool, your browser downloads the code for it, like it downloads any web page. When you add a file, your browser reads it from your disk, and that code does the job on your own processor. The result is saved straight back to your device.
Our server is not part of that. We never receive your file, and we never see what is in it. The one tool that uses the internet is DNS lookup, because its job is to ask public DNS servers for records. It says so on its page.

Nothing to trust
Most online file tools work by upload. Your contract, bank statement or passport scan goes to a server you know nothing about, and you get a promise that it will be deleted in an hour or two.
Maybe it is. But you cannot check. You do not know who can see the file while it is there, whether copies end up in backups, or whether it is used to train software. You do not know if the policy will be the same next year, or if the company will be sold. Uploading always means trusting someone.
We built Easy File Tools so that you do not have to trust us. The file never reaches us, so we cannot keep it, read it, lose it in a data breach, or hand it to anyone. Not because of a policy, but because we never have it.
Check it yourself: open a tool, then turn off Wi-Fi and process a file. It still works, because nothing needs to go anywhere. If you are technical, watch the network tab in your browser's developer tools while a file is processed.
No daily limits and no size caps
Many free online tools give you two or three tasks a day, refuse files over a set size, or keep features like OCR for paying users. That is how they cover the cost of their servers.
We do not have those costs, so we do not have those limits. Use any tool as often as you want. PDFs, documents and images have no size limit from us, and your device's memory is the only real limit. Video and audio files can be up to 512 MB each, because larger media can crash a browser tab.
No account, no email
There is nothing to sign up for. Open a tool, add your file, and download the result. We do not ask for your name or email address, and there is no free trial that turns into a bill.
Free, with no catch
Your device does the work, so we do not pay for servers that process other people's files. Serving the web page costs very little, and that is why every tool can be free.
There is no watermark on your files and no "Pro" version with the good features. Every tool is the full version, for everyone.
It works when the internet does not
Because the tools run in your browser, they do not need the internet once a page is open. Start a job on a train, lose signal, and you can still finish it and save the result.
Some tools download extra data the first time you use them, such as the language data for OCR or the model for the background remover. Open those once while you are online.
