How to use it

1.Pick the PDF, text-based or scanned, and let the converter read through the pages.
2.Start the conversion and leave the tab open while the text, images, and layout are put back together.
3.Open the DOCX and check fonts, tables, columns, headers, and page breaks against the original.

Options

Text extraction runs first, which keeps the result editable and the reading order intact.
Pages too complex to rebuild reliably fall back to a visual layout instead.

Limitations

A PDF holds positioned text, not paragraphs and tables, so a complex layout has to be inferred.
Scanned pages go through OCR, and handwriting or a low-resolution scan will need cleaning up afterwards.

Common questions

Why do columns move after converting to Word?

The PDF records where each piece of text sits, not that it belongs to a column. The converter works the structure out from coordinates, and sometimes gets it wrong.

Will the Word file use the original fonts?

Only where a compatible font is available. Fonts embedded as a subset get swapped for the closest match.
