About PDF to Excel

PDF to Excel rebuilds tables from the text positions and ruling lines on a page and exports them as editable spreadsheet cells.

1.Pick a PDF with visible tables and note whether its text is selectable or just a scan.
2.Run the extraction and check the table edges, row alignment, merged headings, and number columns.
3.Open the XLSX, compare a few rows and totals against the PDF, and fix what was guessed wrong.

Ruled tables are found by their borders. Borderless ones are inferred from consistent text positions.
Regions that cannot become sensible cells can be kept as drawings instead.

A PDF holds no cells and no formulas, so every table is a reconstruction.
Scans, merged cells, multi-line rows, and dense financial layouts need checking by hand.

Why did two columns end up as one?

Their text positions overlap, or there is no consistent gap between them. Split them in the spreadsheet and look at how the source is laid out.

Do formulas come across?

No. A PDF shows the results, not the formulas behind them. You get the values.
