About Blur image

Blur Image can soften a whole picture, drop censor boxes over regions, or paint blur and solid strokes by hand.

1.Choose the image, then find every private detail, including repeats, reflections, and small text near the edges.
2.Blur the whole image, or draw black boxes and brush strokes over the parts to hide. Use black boxes for text that must be unreadable.
3.Apply the changes, then zoom in on the result and check that nothing can still be read.

Blur amount, brush size, and solid censor mode decide how soft the edge is and how much is really hidden.

A light blur can leave text and faces recognizable. Do not trust it for anything that matters.
Editing pixels does nothing to the metadata. Strip that separately.

Is blur enough for a password or an account number?

No. Use a solid block. Blur is for de-emphasis, not concealment.

Can a blurred image be recovered?

Exact recovery is not generally possible, but a weak blur leaves enough of a pattern to guess from. Solid coverage does not.
