How to use it

1. 1.Open the PDF and pick the strategy that fits the job, from one file per page to splitting a scan on its blank sheets.
2. 2.Set the options for that strategy, then let the tool read the bookmarks, text, or page sizes it needs.
3. 3.Check the grouped preview, fix any cut point that landed wrong, and export the files or one archive.

Options

• Eight strategies: fixed page counts, equal parts, a size limit, bookmarks, matching text, blank separators, odd and even pages, and pages you pick.
• The size strategy builds and weighs each part as it goes, so an upload limit is measured rather than guessed.
• File names come from a template with tokens for the original name, index, page range, bookmark title, and matched text.
• Files can take their name from the text on their first page, with OCR when the scan has no text layer.

Limitations

• Bookmarks and links pointing at pages outside a part will break in that part.
• Split a signed PDF and the pieces are new files, so the signature stops validating.
• A single page bigger than your size limit cannot be made to fit. That part goes over, and the tool says so.
