About PDF reader

PDF Reader gives you page navigation, thumbnails, an outline, search, highlights, and comments that stay tied to where you left them in the document.

Runs entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device.

1.Open the PDF and get your bearings with the thumbnails or the outline.
2.Search the terms you care about, set a comfortable zoom, and highlight or comment with enough context to make sense later.
3.Go back through the notes list, check each one opens the right passage, and save anything you need to keep.

Outline and thumbnails for moving around, search for finding words.
Highlights and comments sit on top of the document without touching the wording.

Search needs a text layer. In an image-only scan it finds nothing until the pages have been through OCR.
Notes are stored in this browser. Clearing site data or moving to another device loses them.

Why can't search find a word I can see?

The page is an image, or its character mapping is broken. Run OCR to give a scan a text layer.

Where do my notes live?

Locally, in this browser. Save what matters before you clear site data or switch machines.
