Change video bitrate

How to use it

1. 1.Open the clip and note its length, frame size, frame rate, current weight, and busiest scenes.
2. 2.Set a target rate and a compatible codec, leaving enough data for motion and small text.
3. 3.Encode, then compare the size against the hardest scenes before you use the smaller file.

Options

• The target rate sets roughly how much data each second of video gets.
• The codec list shows what the chosen output format supports, and that codec is what gets used.

Limitations

• A bitrate target is not an exact size. Audio and container overhead ride on top of it.
• Starve it and you get blocking, banding, smeared motion, and text nobody can read, worst on a large frame.
